Charles “Buck” Clayton is a professional
musician and magician who has been performing more than forty-five years. Traveling the globe with the United States
Navy as a Musical Ambassador, he has performed extensively throughout Europe,
South America and the South Pacific, as well as the United States. In 1969, Clayton received an honorable
discharge and formed his own show band,
“The Cavaliers.”

Having been interested in the magical arts from early childhood and
having an established program, it was a ready-made venue for him to add a brief
magic program when the band was on intermission.

Clayton retired from the Baltimore Police Department in October of
2002. During his twenty-nine years of
service he developed a program of safety education and magic entitled, “Officer
Charlie, the MagiCop.” This program,
which included anti-drug messages and personal safety information, was
performed over 350 times during each school year in all of the elementary
schools in Baltimore City. This program
was regarded as a staple with the Baltimore Police Department’s Community
Relations Children’s Outreach Programs for seven years.

A member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians, The Magicians
Alliance of Eastern States, the Society of American Magicians and several Baltimore/Washington
magical organizations, Clayton is often sought after as a lecturer and teacher.
